Can Your Active Vein Prospects Find You Online?


Today’s consumers start their “shopping” experience by looking on the Internet – specifically, search engines and the blogosphere. In order to stay ahead of your competition, your vein center’s website needs to be found online by the consumers who are actively searching for the services you provide.


There are two kinds of search engine results: paid results and organic results. Paid results are those listings that require a fee for the search engines to list their link for particular keywords. The most widely used form of paid advertising is Pay Per Click (PPC), where you pay each time someone clicks on the link in your ad. The price increases with the competitiveness of each keyword.


Organic results are gathered by search engines’ web crawlers and are ranked according to relevance. Ranking in the organic search results is FREE, although optimizing your own website takes both knowledge and work by a professional.


• Our own marketing experience in the vein industry shows that about 40% of online users researching vein treatment options utilize geo-specific keywords that are capable of being optimized within a local website. The other 60% are typing in very “general” vein search terms, such as varicose veins, vein treatment, vein doctors, etc. You can not optimize your own practice website for such vague, general terms. Therefore, a smart online web marketing that “pulls” active consumers to your website utilizes a combination of PPC and organic SEO.


Stop treating your website as an online brochure! Market your website to active prospects and stop waiting for them to “stumble” upon it.
